Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Manager to oversee construction projects in the Pittsburgh - Ambridge area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures and systems. This position will participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation, provide unparalleled customer service to new and existing clients and ensure customer needs are met on a timely basis. Responsibilities Serve as field contact for customers, with a full understanding of individual project requirements. Check jobsites in preparation for installation. Compare site conditions to job estimate, verify any changes. Communicate differing conditions requiring change orders with appropriate salesman and inform project coordinator of additional material requirements. Identify unsafe site conditions and advise crews of proper safe job procedures. Prepare job packets for crews and schedule underground utility checks. Stake fencelines and ensure project is ready for installation crews. Verify materials are staged for projects and ready for loading. Set up concrete. Coordinate equipment assignment daily. Monitor crew progress on projects review man hours expended to budgeted man hours. Coordinate all change orders including documentation, approval and invoicing. Verify installed quantities for billing, coordinating invoice preparation with sales department. Schedule inspection and acceptance of installed work. Communicate daily the crew progress with leadership and collaborate in scheduling company resources. Assist other members of the team, as needed, with a general knowledge of the installation process. Identify and report improvement opportunities in every aspect of the division. Attend department meetings to maintain communication with all members of the team. Other responsibilities as directed or assigned. Requirements Commitment to OSHA requirements, company safety policies, utility-locate procedures, job hazard awareness, proper PPE, and immediate reporting of incidents or unsafe conditions. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites, work in office and field environments, and adjust hours when project schedules require early starts, evenings, or weekends. Working knowledge of project cost control, including labor-hour tracking, material usage, purchase commitments, cost codes, equipment costs, billing quantities, forecasting, and margin protection. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, addenda, submittals, shop drawings, contracts, and manufacturer requirements; identify conflicts and obtain clarification before ordering or installation. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Construction site experience with a focus on managing schedules, budgets, safety protocols, and quality assurance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Qualifications Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree or related experience. Minimum Experience - 2-5 years of industry experience preferred. Computer Knowledge - Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word preferred.
Working conditions:
Physical labor is required including lifting, digging, climbing, and carrying materials. Work may involve exposure to dust, dirt, loud equipment, and construction hazards. Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, harnesses, etc.) is required at all times.Benefits:
