Job Description
Handrail Design, Inc., a Lancaster-based manufacturer of custom handrail systems, seeks a full time Assistant Project Manager. This position requires both office and occasional on-site work to ensure that each project is going according to plan, on time, and meeting customers' expectations. Remote work is not available. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with team members through all phases of project planning, execution and closeout to ensure high-end residential and commercial projects are on schedule while ensuring quality, budget, safety, and customer expectations are met; Prepare RFIs, Requests for Pricing, Change Orders, Purchase Order Requests, and Submittals; Troubleshoot and resolve any problems that may arise; Ensure all deadlines are met; Communicate with customers in a clear and professional manner. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to problem-solve, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; Ability to anticipate project needs and potential problems; Ability to oversee and manage a high volume of projects; Ability to adapt to changes in schedule, team, and logistics; General understanding of blueprints/drawings, and customer specifications; Ability to work well with people in a number of positions, from architects and high-end homeowners to subcontractors and field installers; Mastery of Microsoft Office application suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word. A minimum of 1 year experience with scheduling and construction contracting is preferred. A valid driver's license is mandatory as the position requires traveling to jobsites throughout the US. This is an excellent entry-level position initially working under the direction and mentorship of established project managers with opportunity for an individual to further advance.
