Type:
full-time Metric Geo has partnered with a leading General Contractor and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support public and private projects throughout central Northeastern Pennsylvania! The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to meet project goals within the prescribed time frame and budget. Maintain up-to-date project progress, labor, and material cost data for control and analysis. Update the overall schedule monthly and review it with the superintendent, including subcontractor timetables. Work with the assigned foreman and superintendent to build the project in a controlled manner, managing and coordinating subcontractors. Coordinate material requisitions with purchasing and ensure proper invoice coding. Provide modifications resulting in change orders. Assist the Estimator with plan revisions for change orders and distribute as required. Process Additional Work Authorizations (AWAs) for change order submission. Coordinate and resolve change orders and technical issues with clients, suppliers, superintendents, and subcontractors. Review project cost reports daily. Visit project sites at least once a week for troubleshooting and quality assurance. Oversee project security and safety. Prepare project AIA billing requisitions with the project secretary. Review purchase orders, delivery tickets, subcontractor requisitions, and invoices for correct project costing. Required Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university (equivalent experience considered). Five years of experience in heavy civil construction relevant to this region. Driver's license and clean driving record. Effective verbal and written communication. Proficient computer skills, including internet, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and specialized project software. Ability to fit-test and use appropriate PPE as needed. Ability to meet physical job requirements (movement, lifting, etc.). Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience Ten years of experience in heavy civil construction relevant to this region.
