A Project Coordinator coordinates project team work on projects with a defined scope, start and completion point, and assists the project manager. Coordinates project team activities and communication. Organizes meetings and tracks project budgets and schedules. Organizes contracts, files and reports. May coordinate projects in construction, information technology or in other industries.
10+ years supporting turnover, completions, commissioning, construction, or project controls. Experience with system turnover and mechanical completion on major industrial or power generation projects. Strong knowledge of turnover packages, systemization, punch lists, and Ready-for-Commissioning processes. Experience with turnover/completions databases and construction documentation systems.
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Turnover Coordinator to manage the systematic turnover of completed systems and subsystems from construction through commissioning, startup, and final handover. This position will coordinate with Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Operations to ensure turnover packages, test records, quality documentation, punch lists, and system completion requirements are complete, accurate, and ready to support commissioning and operational readiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain turnover and system completion plans for project systems and subsystems. Coordinate turnover activities between Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Operations. Support systemization, subsystem boundaries, mechanical completion, and Ready-for-Commissioning activities. Assemble and review turnover packages, ITRs, test records, mechanical completion certificates, vendor documentation, and as-built drawings. Coordinate system walkdowns and track punch list items through closure. Maintain turnover databases, status reports, dashboards, and system completion metrics. Monitor turnover progress against the project schedule and identify potential delays or documentation deficiencies. Ensure completed turnover packages meet project quality, commissioning, startup, and Owner requirements.
Job Requirements :
Strong knowledge of system turnover, mechanical completion, commissioning, startup, and handover processes. Experience developing and reviewing turnover packages and system completion documentation. Knowledge of ITRs, QC documentation, test reports, loop checks, punch lists, as-built drawings, and O&M documentation. Experience with systemization, subsystem tracking, construction completion, and commissioning readiness. Experience supporting large industrial, power generation, energy, petrochemical, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects. EPC project execution experience preferred. Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions, WinPCS, MCPlus, Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project preferred. Strong organizational, tracking, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills. Education /
Experience :
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical field strongly preferred. 10+ years of experience in turnover, completion management, commissioning, construction, or project controls. Power generation, gas-fired generation, renewable energy, carbon capture, hydrogen, or data center project experience preferred.
