Project/Contract Manager - Lancaster |
Public Sector Location:
Lancaster, UK Contract:
9 months Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home Our client is a local authority seeking an experienced Project/Contract Manager to support a portfolio of property-related projects within a conservation and heritage environment. The successful candidate will have experience managing projects and contracts across large property portfolios, with a strong understanding of conservation and heritage requirements. Experience within local government will be highly beneficial. Your role You will be responsible for managing projects and associated contracts across a substantial property portfolio, ensuring work is delivered effectively, safely and in line with relevant standards and requirements. The role will involve working with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate works, monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered to the required standard. Main Responsibilities Manage property-related projects and contracts from planning through to completion Coordinate contractors and external suppliers, monitoring delivery and performance Manage projects across large property portfolios, including portfolios of approximately 20,000 to 500,000 properties Oversee roofing and associated property works Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed requirements, timescales and standards Monitor contractor performance and address issues where required Work with internal stakeholders and external contractors to coordinate project activity Support the identification and management of project risks Apply appropriate health and safety considerations throughout project delivery Maintain project records, documentation and progress reports Ensure works are delivered with appropriate consideration for conservation and heritage requirements Support contract management and ensure relevant contractual obligations are met Requirements Previous experience as a Project Manager, Contract Manager or Project/Contract Manager Conservation and heritage experience is essential Experience managing projects across large property portfolios, ideally involving 20,000-500,000 properties Roofing experience Basic understanding of health and safety requirements in a property/project environment Previous local government experience Experience managing contractors and external suppliers Strong organisational and project management skills Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Contract details Contract length: 9 months Working pattern:
