Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. This role will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. The successful applicant will create and maintain: project schedules, progress reports, submittal logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, etc. This position is onsite with periodic travel to project locations as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee projects from preparation to completion Consult on takeoff and estimation Create Statements of Work Review construction contracts to assure terms and conditions are applicable to the proposed Statement of Work Provide project leadership during design reviews and conduct internal Kick-off Meetings once NTP or Contract is signed Prepare and submit Shop Drawings and Request for Information (RFI s) Coordinate execution with Field Installation crews and/or subcontractors, as applicable Process Change Orders (CO/s/). Manage, maintain, and submit Contracted documentation, status, and reports including preparation and submission of close out documents Coordinate pricing and design efforts when required with internal engineering personnel along with external architectural and engineering firms Prepare cashflow forecasts, actively monitor progress, and keep stakeholders and leadership informed through Weekly/Monthly Reviews utilizing ERP and Project Management tools for assigned projects Create and maintain overall schedules, progress to budgets, ETC s (Estimation To Completion), progress reports (KPI s), submittal logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, etc. Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies in Gaven Project Management processes and procedures to improve deliverables and Customer Experience Proactive Management of Customer and Customer Management as the focal point for Gaven Additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Understand the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm systems, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point Flexibility to adapt to new challenges The ability to research and learn as customer requirements change and new products and methods are developed Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to multitask (management of multiple projects) Ability to travel (up to 20%) to project locations around the US for construction coordination meetings Possess a valid driver s license Education /Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred Five (5) years or more as a Project Manager, construction management experience preferred PMP certification is a plus Gaven is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
