Job Title:
Architectural Project Captain / Project Architect Job Description We are seeking a talented Architectural Project Captain / Project Architect with extensive experience in multi-family, commercial, and NYCHA projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple projects and teams efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met. Our projects range from historic preservation to rehabilitation across the NY Metro Area, and we are known for our success in affordable housing, multi-family, and mixed-use projects. Responsibilities Manage and oversee multi-family, commercial, and NYCHA projects within the NYC area. Produce drawings and specifications for renovation and restoration projects. Visit sites to take measurements and photographs of existing conditions. Manage a team of junior architects and consultants. Maintain and develop client relationships while ensuring project deadlines are met. Prepare construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD. Handle multiple filings and drawing sets for large projects. Travel to field sites as necessary to determine practical solutions to field conditions. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Architecture 5-7 years of experience in architecture Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Strong understanding of building codes for multi-family projects Experience in historic preservation and rehabilitation Leadership qualities and experience in managing project teams Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with NYCHA and affordable housing projects Experience with mixed-use and commercial projects Technical BIM responsibilities Project management skills Work Environment Our office is based in Suffern, NY, featuring a modern, open, and collaborative work environment. The team is personable and laid back, fostering an atmosphere of independent work and teamwork. We offer a hybrid work schedule, starting with full-time in-office work, transitioning to four days in-office and one day from home. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
