Schedule:
Full-time, hybrid - 3 days per week in office
Location:
Plainfield, IN - Candidates who are open to relocating will be considered. Key Skills Attention to detail Data analytics Critical thinking Excel Cost forecasting and reporting Project controls Position Overview The Project Controls Specialist II is responsible for routine aspects of project control assignments with close supervision. This position will work as part of a team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers and is expected to develop skills and gradually work with increased independence. The individual will perform cost forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of projects ranging from approximately $10K to $1M in annual spend. Responsibilities include comparing monthly actual costs against project baselines, identifying and analyzing variances, and supporting overall project financial performance. This position will work closely with a more experienced Project Controls Analyst and requires a working knowledge of Excel, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication and collaboration. Candidates should have a demonstrated understanding of basic project controls and project management principles. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of project controls experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum 5 years of project controls experience. Working knowledge of project management and project controls concepts. Experience with scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent. PMI or AACE certification such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, or
AACE-EVP.
Experience with tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Business Objects, Passport, Microsoft Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, PowerPlant, Maximo, or PeopleSoft.
