Lantana, Florida Salary Range:
$27- $35 DOE (Hourly Based on Experience) Position Overview Earth Systems is seeking a hands-on Environmental Field Technician / Field Project Manager to support and lead environmental remediation and site assessment projects in active field environments across South Florida.
What You'll Do :
Perform environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, air) Oversee drilling activities and monitoring well installation Complete detailed field logs and documentation Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with permits and plans Operate field equipment (PID, water level meters, etc.) Support remediation activities (excavation, system monitoring, etc.) Act as on-site field lead for small to mid-size projects Coordinate subcontractors (drillers, labs, disposal vendors) Manage daily field schedules, logistics, and site execution Communicate directly with Project Managers, clients, and regulators Track field progress, costs, and production Assist with report preparation and data organization Ensure all work aligns with scope, budget, and timelineWhat We're Looking For:
2-6+ years of environmental field experience Experience with site assessments, remediation, or environmental compliance Strong understanding of field workflows and documentation Ability to lead small crews or function independently in the field Ability to manager projects. Comfortable making real-time field decisions Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to travel throughout Florida and work outdoors in all conditionsAdditional Experience Considered Favorably:
OSHA 40-HourHAZWOPER
(or willing to obtain) Experience with drilling oversight and well installation Experience coordinating subcontractors or field crews Familiarity with FDEP regulations, CERCLA, RCRA, or state-led remediation programs CDL or ability to obtain oneWork Environment:
70-90% field-based work Outdoor work in Florida heat, humidity, rain, and uneven terrain Physically active role (lifting, walking, standing for extended periods) Travel required based on project needs About Earth Systems Earth Systems is an environmental consulting and remediation firm supporting commercial, industrial, and energy-sector clients.
