Every Project Manager plays a critical role in transforming client requirements into successfully delivered systems that meet technical, operational, and experiential objectives. Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of audiovisual, control, networking, theatrical lighting, architectural lighting, rigging and integrated technology projects. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between clients, consultants, contractors, internal engineering teams, field personnel, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager is accountable for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, procurement, and client communication. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and leadership skills with a solid understanding of audiovisual systems and integrated technology infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Lead projects from contract award through final commissioning and project closeout. Review contracts, Statements of Work (SOW), engineering documentation, bid drawings, architectural plans, and project specifications to establish project requirements and deliverables. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, resource plans, and procurement timelines. Coordinate internal engineering, programming, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities. Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively manage project challenges. Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables remain aligned with contractual obligations and client expectations. Budgeting & Financial Management Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Monitor labor utilization, subcontractor performance, equipment costs, freight expenses, and project profitability. Review and approve vendor quotations, purchase orders, and subcontractor proposals. Coordinate procurement activities to ensure equipment and materials are delivered according to project schedules. Manage project change orders, scope modifications, and client approvals. Support project billing, revenue recognition, and financial closeout processes. Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution. Facilitate project meetings, status updates, coordination sessions, and stakeholder communications. Coordinate with architects, consultants, IT departments, general contractors, owners, and third-party vendors. Manage client expectations and communicate project status, schedule impacts, risks, and resolutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships that support repeat business opportunities. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead multidisciplinary project teams consisting of Systems Engineers, Field Engineers, Programmers, Installation Technicians, subcontractors, and vendors. Coordinate staffing requirements and resource allocation across multiple projects. Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and safety. Support field teams by resolving logistical, technical, and operational challenges. Conduct project kickoff meetings and internal project reviews. Quality Control & Commissioning Ensure installations are executed in accordance with engineering documentation, project specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system acceptance activities. Review punch lists, deficiencies, and corrective actions to ensure project completion. Oversee project documentation, as-built drawings, operation manuals, and final turnover packages. Support client training and project handoff activities. Business Development Support Assist sales and leadership teams with project pursuits, estimating reviews, scope development, and technical clarification. Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project planning meetings when required. Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, and future project work. Required Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years of project management experience in audiovisual integration, low-voltage systems, themed entertainment, live events, broadcast, construction technology, or related industries. Strong understanding of audiovisual systems, signal flow, networking infrastructure, control systems, and integrated technology environments. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Ability to interpret engineering documentation, construction drawings, specifications, and project contracts. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and client stakeholders. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and project management software platforms. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.

certification required within 12 months of employment if not already held. PMP certification is strongly preferred. Experience in themed entertainment, museums, immersive attractions, cultural institutions, higher education, hospitality, or performing arts venues. Familiarity with AutoCAD, D-Tools, Bluebeam, Revit, and project documentation software. Experience with commissioning and systems acceptance processes. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Environment & Physical Demands Primarily office-based with regular field and client site visits. Frequently use computers, mobile devices, and project management software. Ability to conduct site surveys and construction walks. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally work in active construction environments. Travel up to 40% of the time. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Audio Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
