SLCE Architects is seeking a highly motivated Job Captain to join our Los Angeles office. This role is ideal for an architectural professional with strong technical skills, solid Revit proficiency, and experience coordinating project teams and documentation through all phases of design and construction.
Required Experience:
Candidates must have experience working on projects incorporating cast-in-place reinforced concrete construction. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of concrete detailing, consultant coordination, and construction documentation for multifamily, mixed-use, and/or commercial. The Job Captain will work closely with Project Managers and Project Architects to develop, coordinate, and deliver high-quality construction documents while supporting communication among consultants, clients, contractors, and internal project teams. Responsibilities Project Coordination Support day-to-day project coordination and team communication. Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams. Assist in monitoring project schedules, milestones, and deliverable deadlines. Organize and document project meetings and action items. Construction Documents & Technical Production Develop and coordinate architectural documentation from schematic design through construction documents. Produce plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and technical details. Maintain project Revit models and BIM standards. Coordinate consultant information and assist with drawing integration. Implement redlines and support quality control of drawing production. Assist in the coordination and documentation of cast-in-place reinforced concrete building systems. Contribute to the development of architectural details and technical drawing packages. Technical Development Support building code and zoning research. Coordinate structural, MEP, and specialty consultant documentation. Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues with guidance from project leadership. Assist in developing practical, constructible design solutions. Support coordination efforts related to cast-in-place concrete structures and building systems. Construction Administration Assist in preparing RFIs, addenda, supplemental instructions, and bulletins. Review shop drawings and material submittals. Participate in site observations, field visits, and punch list activities as needed. Design Support Translate design concepts into coordinated construction documents. Assist with detailing, building systems integration, and material research. Collaborate with project leadership and team members throughout project development. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. 5-8+ years of professional architectural experience. Strong proficiency in Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD. Understanding of BIM workflows and document coordination. Experience producing comprehensive construction document sets.
Required:

Experience with renovation, repositioning, and adaptive reuse projects is desirable. Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and zoning requirements. Progress toward architectural licensure is preferred. Experience with multifamily residential, mixed-use, commercial, institutional, or large-scale urban projects is highly desirable.
