Public Safety - Fire Service Communications Westnet LLC., is a cutting-edge leader in providing First Responder communications systems to Fire Departments, military bases and 911 Dispatch centers throughout the country. We are seeking a customer-focused Systems Integrator Project Manager to join our Project Management team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who will work closely with our sales, production, installation, and technical support departments to lead the planning, execution, and final deployment of complex technical projects that combine software applications, hardware systems, and networks into unified environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, integration, deployment, and closeout of complex public safety communications and technology projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and critical paths, making revisions as project conditions change.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information, documentation, schedules, action items, risks, and financial/project tracking within company-provided project management and ERP systems.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects involving the integration of hardware, software, networks, communications systems, infrastructure, and third-party technologies.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure that project requirements and technical issues are clearly understood by all parties.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Coordinating project orders that align with production and installation schedules.
  • Managing subcontractors including gathering initiation agreements, scheduling, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Participating in pre-sales activities and responses to proposals, as directed by supervisor.
  • Completing project status and progress reports to stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Identifying any project risks and implementing workarounds to minimize impacts on the project.
  • Exercising effective communication and follow through as client point of contact.
  • Ensure project documentation accurately reflects the implemented system and coordinate completion of as-built, configuration, testing, training, warranty, and other closeout documentation as applicable.
  • Coordinate final project commissioning, customer acceptance, turnover, and transition to technical support or ongoing service teams.
  • Create and finalize project closeout documentation and ensure all contractual and administrative requirements have been completed.
  • Perform after-hours emergency support for projects requiring immediate assistance.
  • Performs other duties, tasks or projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Travel to customer sites, project locations, meetings, installations, commissioning activities, and other business-related events as required; minimum 20%. Experience/Training/Education
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Minimum five years' experience working as a project manager or other complimentary experience required.
  • Experience in the public safety, fire service, fire alarm, communications, low-voltage, telecommunications, IT, or related industries is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Construction Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software.
  • Experience with ERP/project tracking systems preferred.

Strong understanding of project management processes and best practices. Efficient in organizational skills and multi-tasking. Very strong attention to detail; able to manage time. Flexible, positive and energetic, ability to prioritize tasks. Manage time and meet deadlines.
Communication :
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present project status, technical issues, risks, schedules, and recommendations in clear, business-friendly language. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, executives, engineers, technicians, installers, vendors, and subcontractors. Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
Teamwork/Team Player Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams without direct supervisory authority. Ability to establish accountability, coordinate responsibilities, and drive projects toward completion. Strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to contribute expertise while following organizational direction. Comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with internal and external teams. Ability to serve as both a team leader and team member depending on project requirements.
Mathematical & Reasoning :
Ability to exercise strong decision-making and to use critical thinking skills to apply logical and analytical thinking to practical and complex problems.
Computer :
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and Bluebeam or Auto CAD. Ability to proficiently use company's ERP System.
Physical and Environmental Elements :
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit continuously for over 2/3 of normal work shift, and stand, walk and reach with hands and arms for at least 1/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to talk and hear continuously. Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 2/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to lift 10 pounds for up to 1/3 of the normal work shift. (box of paper, etc.) Ability to climb stairs occasionally (training room) or at Clients offices while traveling.
Work Environment:
Position is typically performed in the office environment with standard equipment and moderate noise levels (examples: computers, printers, fax, copiers, music, light traffic, and phone) The position also requires travel to customer facilities, project sites, installation locations, and other work environments as necessary. Locations may include fire stations, dispatch centers, air traffic control towers, and/or other public safety buildings.

Pay:
$119,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
