as a Solar Project Development Manager and play a key role in accelerating the energy transition. This is an exciting new addition to our team as we strengthen our presence in renewable energy across the United States. Why This Role Matters Electricity demand is expected to grow faster than overall global energy demand in the coming years. According to the International Energy Agency's Sustainable Development Scenario, renewable energy will represent more than 35% of the global energy mix by 2040 . To support this transformation, TotalEnergies has set an ambitious goal: 100 GW of gross installed renewable power generation capacity by 2030. This role is central to helping us achieve that vision. Activities What You Will Do As a Solar Project Development Manager, you will lead utility-scale solar development initiatives from early-stage planning through execution: Advise Land Acquisition Specialists on greenfield targeting and negotiations to secure financeable land agreements Lead and coordinate development activities across assigned project pipelines Partner with Project Managers to maintain schedules and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Monitor renewable energy market trends, technologies, regulations, and incentives Apply your expertise across major U.S. power markets (ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, or SPP) Engage and manage external stakeholders, including local land agents as needed Candidate Profile What You Will Bring 4-year technical or business degree from an accredited college program. 3-5+ years renewable energy project development (solar PV preferred). Multiple energy markets experience (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP). Demonstrated ability to manage projects, people, and strategic objectives; Project Management Professional certification preferred. Subject matter expertise (e.g. real estate, environmental, permitting, tax abatements) highly valued. Based in Austin, Texas. Willingness to travel 20-30% as needed to assure the project's completion on time and within budget.
