$29.00 - $33.00/hr Position Summary Our client, a leading organisation in the energy and renewables sector, is seeking a Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship Compliance Specialist (PWACA) to work remotely across their renewable energy project portfolio. The PWACA will ensure compliance with prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, auditing contractor data inputs, verifying completeness and accuracy, and creating reports for deficiencies to present to upper management. The role involves reviewing payroll to confirm correct wages, fringe benefit contributions, and all other aspects of labour compliance are fulfilled per contract requirements. Each project carries its own unique compliance obligations, and the PWACA will be responsible for gathering those requirements and relaying them to relevant stakeholders. The role also requires inputting data into dashboards, hosting compliance meetings, gathering certified payrolls, executing detailed audits, composing findings reports, performing discrepancy research, and serving as the primary point of contact for all prevailing wage labour compliance matters. Key Responsibilities Review contractor data inputs pertaining to prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements. Compare data against criteria set in project tax and finance stipulations and contract exhibits. Verify data for completeness and correctness. Create status reports and corrective action notes for management. Input data into compliance dashboards on a recurring basis. Review payroll to confirm wage accuracy, fringe benefit contributions, and all other aspects of labour compliance per contract requirements. Gather certified payrolls and related documentation; execute detailed audits and compose reports of findings. Perform discrepancy research and provide support as the primary point of contact for prevailing wage compliance matters. Attend frequent, recurring meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and third-party consultants. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or higher. Minimum 3 years of experience in wage compliance or payroll administration preferred. Background in Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship compliance, or compliance with wages stipulated under Inflation Reduction Act requirements, is strongly preferred. Experience with certified payroll is advantageous. Knowledge & Skills Self-starter with high competence in technical databases. Experience with LCP Tracker is required.
