Job Description

Job Summary Atlantic Installation is seeking a driven and field-experienced Project Manager to lead and support the growth of our dock and door division. This is a hybrid role combining business development, project management, and field leadership, ideal for someone with a strong technical background who is looking to take the next step in their career. We are a small, family-owned company that operates with a traditional approach to business, focused on relationships, accountability, and doing things the right way. We offer our team members greater flexibility, autonomy, and long-term opportunity. Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities by contacting manufacturers, general contractors, property owners, and existing company relationships Perform site visits to assess project requirements and define scope Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SOW) documents outlining labor, materials, and installation approach Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing, evaluate options, and ensure proper equipment selection Prepare and present customer-facing proposals Schedule projects and ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered on time Train, coach, and supervise installation technicians in the field Oversee project execution to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency Maintain communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle Ensure timely project closeout, invoicing, and payment collection Requirements & Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience in industrial installation, maintenance, and service (dock equipment, overhead doors, conveyors, lifts, or similar systems preferred) Proven background as a technician, lead installer, or field supervisor with hands-on project experience Strong ability to read and interpret project drawings, equipment specifications, and job scopes Working knowledge of mechanical systems related to industrial equipment installations Experience coordinating jobs, crews, and materials in a field environment Demonstrated leadership ability, including training, coaching, and supervising technicians Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Willingness to develop new business opportunities and build customer relationships (prior sales experience is a plus, but not required) Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as required Preferred (Not Required): Experience with vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRCs), automotive service equipment, elevators or related equipment Prior exposure to estimating, proposal writing, or project costing Existing relationships with general contractors, facility managers, or industrial clients Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or similar tools for proposals and documentation Working knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC) related to industrial equipment installations
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
