About the Role The Selections Coordinator is a client-facing position focused on guiding homeowners through the design and finish selection process from start to finish. This includes coordinating meetings, helping clients make cohesive interior and exterior selections, tracking decisions, and communicating clearly with our team and trade partners to keep projects moving smoothly. This role works closely with our Sales Manager and alongside our subcontracted interior designers. It's a hybrid position that combines design-focused responsibilities with light project management, helping ensure selections stay on schedule and align with the overall construction timeline. As a key bridge between our clients, design partners, field team, and vendors, the Selections Coordinator plays a critical role in both the client experience and project execution. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, has a passion for design, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two projects are the same. Responsibilities Guide homeowners through interior and exterior design selections Coordinate and schedule client selection meetings Document, track, and communicate selection decisions Manage allowances and assist with budget tracking Work closely with clients, designers, vendors, and the field construction team Ensure selections remain on schedule and align with project timelines Communicate updates and changes clearly to all stakeholders Maintain organized project records within Buildertrend and Microsoft Office tools Help create a seamless and enjoyable experience for clients throughout the building process Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in the custom home building industry Strong background in interior design with an excellent eye for detail Familiarity with residential construction processes and timelines Experience with construction software (Buildertrend preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Experience meeting with clients and presenting design options Ability to read plans and understand construction drawings Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) Experience managing budgets and tracking allowances Knowledge of local suppliers, showrooms, and finish products preferred Who We're Looking For At Benchmark Custom Homes, we take pride in providing a highly personalized custom home experience.
