This is a W2 contract role - C2C, 1099, & 3 rd party candidates
WILL NOT
be considered Under general supervision, the Sr. Project Specialist is responsible for the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of major programs and/or projects. They will act as a change agent to create and support a positive change process.
Position Functions:
  • Oversee medium-to-large sized multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross functional experts, including system-wide projects
  • Drive progress of the project, including overseeing its assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Manage work plan scope and aid in the assessment of resource requirements in order to achieve desired outcomes and direct re-engineering efforts
  • Ensure that the project is achieving the expected business outcomes
  • Analyze and document processes, procedures, and outcomes to seek continuous improvement
  • Communicate, collaborate, network with, and act as a consultant to key stakeholders, business partners, and executive-level leadership in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources
  • Participate on committees/task forces as a member consultant and/or chair
  • Develop and lead teams which are larger in scope
  • Act as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution of significant issues, and develop recommendations for leadership consideration
  • Competency to work all phases of the project with executive-level leadership
  • Provide guidance, direction, and training to less experienced Project Specialists, and act as a mentor
Position Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant leadership/management/project management experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills, including the ability to adapt to change easily
  • Experience with CMS, Individual ACA, and/or Medicare/Medicaid preferred
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field
