- is seeking a talented
- Water and Wastewater Project Manager
- with a passion for water, wastewater conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the
- New England Area (Chelmsford, MA; Boston, MA; or Rocky Hill, CT)
- working on a diverse range of technically challenging water resources projects.
- The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- + Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.
+ Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, to approved scope, budget, and schedule.
+ Perform technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards.
+ Serve as a point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in the New England Area.
+ Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development.
+ Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
+ Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts, including technical and cost pricing.
+ Actively participate in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
+ Travel to and/or work in
- Chelmsford, MA; Boston, MA; or Rocky Hill, CT

- Minimum Requirements:
- + BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 4+ years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping, and collection systems. +
- Registered Professional Engineer
- or ability to obtain within 1 year. + Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- + 6+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management. +
- Registered Professional Engineer
- in MA, CT, NH, RI, VT, ME or ability to obtain within 6 months.
+ Previous experience leading scope, technical approach, and pricing efforts for business development activities.
+ Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems, and client relations experience.
+ Previous experience leading client and public presentations.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team.
+ Previous experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects.
