Smithfield, RI Position Overview John Rocchio Corporation specializes in bridge and highway construction and is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager who can independently lead complex bridge and highway projects with minimal supervision. DOT experience is essential. Candidates must have significant experience managing transportation projects for RIDOT, MassDOT, or similar agencies and a proven ability to drive successful project delivery from award through closeout. Responsibilities Lead project execution from preconstruction through completion. Develop project work plans, budgets, and schedules. Conduct constructability reviews and identify project risks. Manage project financial performance, forecasting, and cost controls. Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, owners, and design teams. Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and monthly billings. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, agency standards, and company procedures. Proactively resolve issues affecting safety, quality, budget, or schedule. Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 10 years of bridge, highway, or heavy civil construction experience. At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent. Proven success managing DOT projects valued at $5M+, with larger projects preferred. Direct experience with RIDOT, MassDOT, or other state transportation agencies. Strong understanding of scheduling, contract administration, cost control, and project documentation. Design-Build and accelerated bridge construction experience is a plus.
