Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding position supporting elementary students as a Teacher's Assistant / Behavior Aide on a full-time contract basis. Working closely with educators and behavior specialists, you'll contribute to a positive learning environment and make a daily impact in students' educational journey. This role runs from ASAP through June 16, 2027, and follows a Monday-Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist, preferably in a school setting Associate's degree or successful completion of Rhode Island Teaching Assistant exam (required) A passion for supporting young learners and encouraging positive behaviors Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptability and patience in assisting students with diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide instructional and behavioral support to elementary students under the direction of teaching staff Encourage engagement, focus, and positive social interactions among students Assist with the implementation of behavior intervention plans Support classroom routines, transitions, and activities Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation Help create an inclusive, safe learning environment for all students
