AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Distribution Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team by coordinating logistics, managing project timelines, and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. You will work closely with Account Representatives and Sales Engineers to deliver exceptional customer service and facilitate successful project outcomes.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Expertise in coordinating logistics, managing timelines, and organizing production schedules to meet customer deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder liaison, including updating customers and account managers on job progress. Exceptional skills in creating estimates, entering orders, and generating production work orders and freight shipments. Proficient in filing invoices and Bills of Lading (BOLs), ensuring accurate documentation and compliance. Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service by meeting customer expectations and maintaining positive relationships. Skillful in using project management tools and software for efficient workflow and project tracking. Works collaboratively with sales teams to estimate job requirements and ensure project success. Capable of identifying issues and implementing solutions promptly to ensure smooth project execution. Thrives in dynamic environments, adjusting priorities as necessary to meet changing project demands.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred. 2-3 years of proven experience in project coordination or logistics within a distribution or sales environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JobScope, AS400, Excel). Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role will be performed in an office environment, primarily involving desk-based work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position involves primarily sitting throughout the day, with occasional tasks that require moving objects. It emphasizes good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina but does not involve constant movement or lifting heavy weights.
