Job Description

Assistant Project Manager - Lot Clearing, Erosion Control & Field Operations We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Project Manager to help manage and coordinate daily field operations involving lot clearing, erosion control, site work, and event setup. All work takes place on one site at a large mountaintop development. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable coordinating field crews, managing multiple work activities, and making sure work is completed correctly and on schedule. Responsibilities Assist with scheduling and coordinating daily field crews Coordinate lot clearing, site preparation, and cleanup activities Oversee installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures Coordinate the setup and takedown of a large event tent Direct crews in setting up furniture, tables, staging, and dance floor according to provided event layouts Ensure event setups are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule Communicate daily assignments and expectations to field crews Coordinate equipment, materials, and deliveries Monitor work areas throughout the development for progress, quality, and completion Communicate job progress and field issues to the Project Manager Help keep projects on schedule and crews productive Assist with job documentation, photographs, and daily reporting Help resolve day-to-day field issues Assist crews in the field when necessary Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required Experience in construction, lot clearing, erosion control, landscaping, grading, event setup, or similar field work preferred Previous crew leadership, foreman, or project coordination experience is a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to read and follow site plans, event layouts, and work instructions Comfortable coordinating and directing field crews Ability to manage multiple work activities and changing priorities Basic computer and smartphone skills Valid driver's license Dependable and comfortable working outdoors in an active development Ability to perform physical work when needed Benefits Company truck provided Medical and dental insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off (PTO) Employee discount Opportunity for advancement and increased project management responsibility What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone with a strong field background who is ready to take on more responsibility. This person should be able to receive a plan or layout, organize the crew and resources needed, communicate what needs to be done, and make sure the work is completed correctly and on schedule. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of assigned work, solve problems in the field, and keep crews organized and productive.
