Junior Project Controls Analyst
Oak Ridge, TN
Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Junior Project Controls Analyst opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Project Controls Analyst to support cost management, scheduling, and reporting activities for government construction projects. This role will assist the Project Controls team with maintaining project schedules, tracking budgets and expenditures, analyzing project performance, and supporting compliance with government and contract requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to develop experience in construction project controls within a federal or public-sector environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist with tracking project budgets, costs, forecasts, and financial reporting. Support maintenance and updates of project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Monitor project progress and help identify cost or schedule variances. Prepare weekly and monthly project controls reports, dashboards, and status updates. Review invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and supporting documentation for accuracy. Maintain project records, documentation, and compliance with government contract requirements. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and field teams to collect project data. Support change management, risk tracking, and overall project controls activities throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications High school diploma 10+ experience in forecasting, vendor management, logistics operations, and performance reporting. Basic understanding of construction project lifecycles and project controls principles. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
