Basic Job Functions:
The Project Coordinator assists in the company sales and profit effort by performing and managing operational efforts within the Sales Service Department.
Day-to-day functions include:
Being responsible for order management (scope, price, schedule, and Builder relationship), change management, and communication with both external and internal customers. As part of this process, constant communication with parties involved and status updates will be required. Maintain an outgoing and personable approach to building relationships with both internal and external customers. Constant communication both vocally and electronically is required. Work to balance the needs of the customer with the needs and efficiencies of our internal departments to help maximize KBS resources while still ensuring a positive customer experience. Being responsible for completing a proper price/scope check on every project to ensure the scope of the quote matches that of the sold order, and that any and all changes have been properly accounted for. Taking a pro-active role in managing changes on all projects assigned. Timely response and documentation as well as thorough communication of changes are mandatory. Additionally, being responsible for reasonably maximizing profit contribution on change orders by establishing the price level and negotiating with the customer if necessary. Take a proactive role in providing assistance to the other PC's for support in processing orders, especially during peak sales periods, to ensure that timely screening and acceptance can be accomplished on every project. Being responsible for conducting project meetings with the external customer and internal KBS personnel when required. Provide additional back-up support as necessary to other positions within the Sales Services Department including: other PC's, the Order Entry Coordinator and the Sales Service leadership. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Background in computer use with skills in Microsoft Office Legally authorized to work in the United States (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with support or servicing internal and/or external customers Four years of metal building experience in the areas of detailing, design, estimating, customer service, or production Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
