This position serves as a primary point of contact for contractors, Division Managers, Design, Accounting, and field personnel to ensure projects move efficiently through all phases of construction. The Project Coordinator II is expected to have a working knowledge of construction administration practices, blueprint reading, project documentation, construction schedules, contracts, change orders, and lightning protection industry standards. This role requires independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service and communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all duties and responsibilities according to the Mission and Core Values of the Company. Provides project coordination and administrative support for Division Managers. Supports specific assigned divisions, maintaining ownership of project documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Serves as a primary point of contact for contractors through telephone and email communication. Documents and maintains all communication between contractors and Bonded. Reviews construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and related project documents for information relevant to project execution. Maintains a working knowledge of lightning protection standards, grounding requirements, and company procedures. Coordinates project startup activities and ensures project documentation is complete and properly distributed. Documents and communicates scope changes to all departments involved. Reviews contractor invoicing requirements and communicates billing information to Accounting. Reviews external correspondence for completeness, accuracy, spelling, grammar, and contractual compliance prior to issuance to customers. Assists Division Managers and Design with Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, project tracking, and other construction documentation. Reviews incoming submittal responses and routes information to the appropriate departments for action. Coordinates and tracks project insurance, safety, compliance, and certification requirements. Assists with contract administration, including change orders, project modifications, and documentation of scope changes. Completes certification applications and project closeout documentation. Maintains accurate project records within company and industry-specific software systems. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a construction administrative, project coordination, or project support role. Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and project plans. Working knowledge of standard construction terminology and construction administration processes. Working knowledge of construction schedules, contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation. Knowledge of lightning protection standards and grounding systems, or the ability to quickly acquire and apply such knowledge. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with industry-specific project management, document control, and plan review software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and follow-through. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments. Associate degree preferred; equivalent construction administration experience will be considered. Desire to grow professionally and advance within the organization. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of construction administration or project coordination experience. Experience with specialty subcontractors or commercial construction projects. Familiarity with lightning protection systems, grounding systems, or related construction trades. Experience reviewing project specifications, contracts, and construction schedules. Experience supporting multiple divisions, branches, or geographic territories.
