Job Description
What to Expect As a Project Coordinator on Tesla's construction team in the Greater Houston area, you will be the operational glue on teams building some of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in America. You will chase information, field, procurement, quality, and leadership to stay aligned through disciplined tracking, follow-up, and flawless data organization. This is a high-tempo coordination seat for someone who is hyper detail-oriented, thrives on multitasking, and takes pride in making sure nothing falls through the cracks. What You'll Do Own day-to-day project coordination across assigned industrial construction scopes, ensuring actions, decisions, and deliverables are tracked to closure with complete accountability Track production and time on major project, ensuring that field data is being entered on time, accurately, and consistently, providing the foundation for every major prioritization decision project management needs to pull levers Maintain and drive meeting cadences, agendas, minutes, and action logs, capturing owners, dates, and follow-ups, then pursuing completion until items are truly done Coordinate information flow between Construction Managers, Superintendents, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Commissioning, and Operations so field teams always have current drawings, decisions, and priorities Track RFIs, submittals, change documents, material statuses, and look-ahead needs with precision, escalating risks early before they become schedule or cost impacts Build and maintain accurate trackers, dashboards, and status packages that give leadership clear visibility into open issues, constraints, and upcoming workfronts Support schedule and cost routines by collecting progress inputs, organizing reporting packages, and ensuring data integrity across project systems What You'll Bring 2+ years of project coordination, project controls support, or construction coordination experience on industrial, refining, chemical, manufacturing, or major capital projects Proficiency with AI tools, Power BI, Microsoft Excel and common project tools (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint, Bluebeam, Primavera/P6 exposure, or equivalent); ability to build and manage clean trackers and status reports quickly Hyper detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills; you hundred of moving points without losing sight of owners, dates, or follow-through Strong written and verbal communicator who brings clarity and structure to discussions, leaving with actions clearly distributed Comfortable working directly with field leaders as well as office-based teams Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
