Job Description
Position Summary The Director of Projects & Analytics provides direction, oversight and leadership for the Enterprise Project Management and Analytics functions, supporting both CoServ Electric and CoServ Gas. This position is responsible for strengthening enterprise planning, project prioritization, portfolio visibility, and data informed decision making. The Director partners with leaders across the organization to ensure key initiatives align with enterprise strategy, are appropriately prioritized and resourced, improve organizational performance, and provide meaning insights through analytics, dashboards, and reporting that supports the business. Responsibilities Establishes and maintains governance processes for enterprise project intake, evaluation, prioritization, resource planning, status reporting, and performance measurements. Oversees the enterprise project portfolio, ensuring initiatives are aligned with enterprise strategy, appropriately prioritized and resourced, and executed effectively. Partners with leaders across the organization to identify, define, prioritize, and implement projects that deliver results aligned with enterprise strategy. Leads the development and execution of the enterprise data analytics strategy to deliver actionable insights that support decision-making and organizational performance. Promotes a data-driven culture by equipping leaders and teams with dashboards and reports for measuring outcomes. Develops reporting frameworks and performance measures that help leaders assess project outcomes and operational trends. Oversees policies, procedures, and standards related to enterprise project management and data analytics. Develops and ensures adherence to annual capital and operating budgets and develops multi-year forecasts related to the enterprise project portfolio. Supports contract planning, vendor coordination, and negotiation of business terms related to enterprise projects and associated services in partnership with appropriate internal stakeholders. Champions innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the team and across the organization. Complies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures and guidelines including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor. Complies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines including reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support. Secondary Position Responsibilities Maintains knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, project management practices, and analytics methodologies relevant to assigned areas of responsibilities. Monitors developments that may impact enterprise projects, organizational performance, data analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. Provides reports, updates, dashboards, and presentations as requested. Represents CoServ at industry conferences, professional associations, and training events as appropriate. Receives external training and professional development to maintain expertise and support the evolving needs of the organization. Attends CoServ University training as required. Performs other duties and activities as directed. Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management, program management, business analytics, data analytics, or enterprise performance management, with demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives. 7+ years of leadership experience, including direct supervision, team development, or management of cross-functional teams. Education, Experience, and Certifications Preferred 5+ years of experience in an electric distribution utility. Experience with enterprise portfolio management, project governance, or organizational performance management. Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, dashboard development, performance reporting, or data governance. PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or related certification. Skills and Abilities Required Demonstrates strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives. Dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player. Must have the ability to exercise critical thinking skill sets that include the ability to articulate issues, analyze data, develop options, and provide recommendations. Must exercise leadership and maintain good working relationships with executive leadership, other departments, and staff. Must effectively manage priorities in complex and diverse operational units. Must perform short and long-range budget, financial and operational planning. Must facilitate change in a productive and positive manner, foster teamwork and establish consensus, and effectively represent CoServ Electric & Gas in the community. Excellent organizational skills. Physical Requirements Operates office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, etc. Indoor, office environment. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Ability to drive occasionally as needed. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Other Requirements Must have and maintain a valid Texas driver's license. Travels to conferences and meetings as necessary.
