Job Description

A Shop Project Manager is needed for a fabrication and machining shop.
Position Summary :
Plan, manage, and control all projects, including overseeing field foreman, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality, sub-contractor and supplier coordination and work in conjunction with the customer liaison to ensure strict adherence to guidelines. Shop Project Manager - Fabrication & Field Operations Manage projects from pre-construction through completion , overseeing field/shop operations, schedules, quality, safety, costs, subcontractors and suppliers. Lead and supervise foremen and craft personnel , including manpower planning, construction methods, materials, equipment and productivity. Conduct jobsite walks, estimating, scheduling, construction sequencing and logistics planning . Coordinate QC/QA requirements , including WPS/WPQ, NDE, ITPs, submittals and final project documentation. Manage subcontractor/supplier scopes, procurement, change orders, punch lists and project closeout. Support constructability reviews, value engineering and pre-construction planning . Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, program managers, inspectors and customers . Ensure compliance with jobsite safety requirements and promote a zero-injury culture. In fabrication/shop operations, coordinate technical requirements, BOMs, manufacturing processes, production schedules and customer specifications. Manage project costs, resolve manufacturing issues and provide technical support to production. Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Office for project tracking and documentation.
Key Requirements:
5-10 years supervisory experience in a fabrication shop; 3-5 years as a Superintendent . Strong experience fabricating pipe, vessels, burners, complex designs and structural components . Knowledge of metallurgy, welding procedures and ASME Codes . Extensive experience with MIG, TIG, SAW, SMAW and FCAW welding processes. Experience fitting/welding multiple alloys . Computer proficient; Microsoft Office experience and ability to learn ERP systems. Field and shop supervision experience preferred.

$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
