Project Coordinator
Job Description
Project Coordinator A growing El Paso project team is looking for a Project Coordinator who can turn plans into clear next steps. You will keep timelines visible, collect updates and make sure project information is complete before work moves forward. The role sits close to research and analysis, but the strongest candidates may come from any environment where several people, dates and details have to stay aligned. The work behind the work Every project has small decisions and follow-ups that determine whether the larger outcome stays on course. You will prepare working documents, organize recurring meetings and maintain a reliable view of open actions. When a deadline shifts, you will update the right people and record the change instead of letting it disappear into a message thread. Projects you will keep moving 1. Build and update schedules, task lists and simple status reports. 2. Coordinate meeting times, materials, notes and agreed actions. 3. Check that project files follow the team naming and storage process. 4. Gather routine information from colleagues and highlight gaps early. 5. Track approvals, requests and due dates across several active workstreams. 6. Support basic quality checks before reports or project materials are released. What good coordination looks like here Good work in this position is easy to see: meetings start with the right information, overdue actions are followed up respectfully and project records make sense to someone who was not in the room. Technical questions will be handled by the relevant specialist. Your focus is asking sensible questions, documenting the answer and knowing when a risk should be raised. At least one year of experience in project support, office administration, scheduling, case coordination or a similar organized setting is preferred. Strong Excel or Google Sheets basics are useful. A degree can be helpful, but practical coordination experience and sound judgment carry more weight. Your first month You will learn the active project calendar, the file structure and the people responsible for each stage. Early assignments will focus on meeting support and one or two trackers before the scope expands. Regular check-ins will help you understand what should be handled independently and what needs approval. Tools and working style Most of the work happens through shared calendars, spreadsheets, documents and a project task system. The team values a clean record over a complicated tool. You should be willing to learn the existing process before suggesting changes, then speak up when a simpler template or reminder could prevent repeated confusion. Some days will be planned; others will require you to reset priorities when information arrives late. Staying calm, confirming the new order and communicating it clearly are part of the job. A practical next step Send your resume through Indeed and include a short example of a schedule, project or multi-step process you helped keep organized. Interviews are being arranged for a start within the next four weeks. Qualified applicants receive fair consideration without regard to protected status. Accommodation requests related to the application or interview process are welcome.
