Job Description

My client is seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Project Manager to oversee commercial flooring projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of commercial flooring systems, excellent project-management skills, and a proven ability to coordinate customers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews. This is a hands-on role for a motivated professional who can manage multiple projects, maintain schedules and budgets, resolve issues quickly, and ensure every project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial flooring projects from estimating handoff through final completion. Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Coordinate materials, deliveries, installers, subcontractors, and job-site activities. Communicate regularly with general contractors, owners, architects, vendors, and internal teams. Monitor project budgets, costs, change orders, and profitability. Prepare and maintain project schedules and track progress against milestones. Conduct or participate in job-site meetings and project walkthroughs. Identify potential project issues and develop timely solutions. Ensure flooring installations meet contract specifications and quality standards. Review measurements, quantities, material requirements, and installation details. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and closeout documentation. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial flooring project management experience. Strong knowledge of commercial flooring products and installation methods, including carpet tile, broadloom, VCT, LVT, sheet vinyl, rubber, polished/concrete flooring, or related systems. Experience working with general contractors and commercial construction projects. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and cost control. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-management software. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to commercial job sites as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing large-scale commercial flooring projects. Estimating or takeoff experience. Experience with construction management software. Established relationships with general contractors, flooring installers, and suppliers.
