Full-Time, Exempt Annual Bonuses! We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy highway and civil construction projects throughout the Houston area. This position manages projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to contract requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple highway and civil infrastructure projects. Oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, cost controls, and project risks. Provide active onsite leadership to superintendents, field personnel, and junior project managers. Attend weekly onsite safety meetings and project walkthroughs. Maintain thorough knowledge of contracts, plans, specifications, and project requirements. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress reports, and other documentation. Analyze cost impacts, forecast job costs, and monitor project performance. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies. Ensure compliance with TxDOT specifications and all safety, environmental, and quality standards. Resolve issues affecting project scope, schedule, or cost. Assist with proposals, contract negotiations, and business development. Qualifications Five or more years of civil construction project management experience, preferably involving highway or infrastructure work. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience. Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, contract administration, and cost control. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management software. Authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Experience CAD Experience is highly preferred TxDOT project experience. Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar platforms. PMP or comparable project management certification. OSHA 30 certification. This position includes both office and field work. Candidates must be able to travel to active job sites, safely navigate uneven terrain, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, wear required PPE, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
