Job Description

Project Coordinator (Tribal Justice System Planner) will support a critical public safety and justice system initiative on the Shivwits Reservation. This full-time, grant-funded role will lead the coordination and development of a comprehensive Tribal Justice System Strategic Plan—focused on strengthening public safety, supporting victim services, and advancing culturally responsive, community-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will bring experience in project coordination, community engagement, data analysis, and strategic planning, along with the ability to work collaboratively across Tribal leadership, agencies, and partners. Key Duties Coordinate and manage day-to-day implementation of a DOJ-funded Tribal Justice System planning project Develop and execute a community needs assessment, including data collection, analysis, and reporting Lead drafting of a comprehensive, multi-year Tribal Justice System Strategic Plan Organize and facilitate meetings, trainings, and community engagement efforts Coordinate with Tribal leadership, community members, and external partners (law enforcement, health, courts, and service providers) Support development of partnership agreements, including MOUs and Tribal resolutions Track project timelines, deliverables, and compliance with DOJ grant requirements Maintain documentation and assist with required grant reporting and performance measures Qualifications Experience in project coordination, planning, or program management Strong background in community engagement and stakeholder coordination Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and translate data into actionable plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with standard productivity tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams) Ability to work effectively within Tribal government structures and with diverse partners Preferred Experience working with Tribal communities or knowledge of Tribal governance Familiarity with justice system planning, public safety, or behavioral health coordination Experience with grant-funded projects and compliance/reporting requirements

$35.00 per hour
