We have a diverse portfolio of public and private projects in a variety of market sectors including multi-family housing, higher education, industrial, commercial/office and historical renovations. We have two offices, the company headquarters in Glen Allen, VA, which serves the central Virginia marketplace and a Newport News, VA office that serves the Hampton Roads region. MTC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Glen Allen, Central Virginia Division. This position oversees the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout, serving as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and subcontractors while directing project teams to deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties include project planning and scheduling; budget development and cost control; contract negotiation and subcontractor buyout; submittal and RFI management; owner, architect, and subcontractor coordination; jobsite safety oversight; and change order management. Skills/Credentials needed Manage multiple concurrent commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Develop and manage project budgets. Lead the buyout process, including subcontractor solicitation, scope review, and contract negotiation. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor quality, safety, and schedule performance. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and contract requirements. Proficient in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, Primavera P6) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and articulate recommendations clearly and concisely. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered. 10-15 years of commercial construction project management experience required.
