Job Description

Global Technical Systems (GTS) provides innovative, cost-effective, high-tech engineering products and product-based services encompassing latest generation software and hardware solutions and engineering services for defense, homeland security, and other critical Government interests. GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair. Our Headquarters office in Virginia Beach, VA is searching for a Project Manager to work in-person at 421 South Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 .
Project Manager Virginia Beach, VA General Description:
Under general supervision, plans and directs all aspects of DoD Product & Support Services activities for a particular program. Ensures all Production, Support Services or project initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organizations and programs established policies, and objectives. May direct multiple tasks on a single project or multiple projects within a program or organization. Provides overall technical guidance and personnel management, ensuring the timely and cost-effective accomplishment of contractual requirements. Completes required reports and submissions as required and provides project supervision and will be responsible for meeting project schedule and cost goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages Projects from planning through delivery. Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and meeting plans are communicated. Maintain and control the cost, schedule and quality of the product or service during the performance of the task. Utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones and deadlines. Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks. Prepares agendas, meeting notes and project summaries. Monitors task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans Prepares agendas, technical reports, meeting notes, CDRLs or related documentation Communicates schedule, changes, and risks to all stakeholders Develop estimates for future projects Allocates resources, budgets and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary. Support Business Development or proposal efforts
Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant Project Management experience or equivalent. Prior experience in DoD or commercial Production Contracting Prior experience managing costs, completion timelines, funds expenditures, labor hour allocations, and contract execution Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills. Educational Requirements (or equivalent):
BS/BA Essential Skills/Experience:
Detail oriented, entrepreneurial, and effective at presenting technical and program information at all levels. High performance team player while still being able to work independently. An ability to lead and coordinate scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimating, and planning for multiple project or tasks. An ability to organize and manage multiple priorities that utilize shared resources. Quality orientation and attention to detail. Individual must also successfully collaborate with a diverse set of individuals. Comprehend and effectively integrate new ideas and concepts. Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD security clearance.
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
Experience in coordinating systems development, qualification, manufacturing, testing or validation for major applications. Prior experience with Navy or C4ISR Systems Prior experience in DoD Contracting Experience with Navy Acquisition and contract management. State & Federal Regulation compliance knowledge.
