Position Overview Pivotal Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with 5 years of commercial construction experience to join our growing team. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients to support the successful delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Support project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, project correspondence, and other project records. Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination. Review plans, specifications, and other construction documents for coordination and potential issues. Track project schedules, procurement, submittals, and long-lead items. Assist with estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking throughout the project. Help prepare and manage change orders and pricing requests. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, owners, and subcontractors to resolve project issues. Participate in project meetings and help track action items and follow-ups. Assist with maintaining project schedules and identifying potential schedule impacts. Support the Project Manager with monthly billing, forecasting, and financial reporting. Assist with contract administration and subcontractor compliance. Help identify potential project risks and work with the project team to develop solutions. Conduct site visits as needed to understand project progress and assist with coordination. Support project closeout, including punch lists, O&M documentation, warranties, and final project documentation. Maintain a high level of communication and organization throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction experience . Experience with commercial, tenant improvement, ground-up, industrial, or similar construction projects. Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and design professionals. Ability to travel to project sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required. Experience working for a commercial general contractor. Experience with both ground-up and tenant improvement construction . Experience with projects ranging from $5 million to $30+ million. Procore experience. Understanding of project budgets, cost tracking, change management, and forecasting. Restaurant, retail, industrial, medical, or other commercial construction experience is a plus.
