Project Manager Job Overview Dawn Construction is looking for a driven, organized, and field-focused Construction Project Manager to take ownership of residential construction projects from start to finish. This is an active, hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, leading crews, working directly with subcontractors and customers, and keeping multiple projects moving forward. Key Responsibilities Manage residential construction projects from initial handoff through final completion. Create clear project plans and keep jobs on schedule. Visit active job sites regularly to monitor progress, workmanship, cleanliness, and safety. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, material deliveries, and project timelines. Review project scopes, contracts, plans, measurements, blueprints, and change orders. Confirm that subcontractors clearly understand the scope of work before construction begins. Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs to protect project profitability. Identify project issues early and take immediate action to resolve them. Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide regular project updates. Document job progress with photographs, notes, schedules, and internal reports. Review completed work before approving subcontractor payments. Ensure all work complies with company standards, applicable building codes, permit requirements, and safety regulations. Complete final walkthroughs and ensure all outstanding items are resolved before project closeout. Maintain a high level of accountability, urgency, and attention to detail across every assigned project. What We're Looking For Construction or project management experience is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of residential remodeling and general construction. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and deadlines at the same time. Comfortable working in the field and traveling between job sites. Ability to read scopes of work, plans, measurements, contracts, and construction documents. Confident communicating with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions when challenges arise. Dependable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
