You do not need to be an electrical expert to be successful in this role. We need a Project Assistant who excels at organization, attention to detail, communication, and follow-through. Your job is to help keep projects on track by managing documentation, tracking deadlines, coordinating communication, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring important details do not fall through the cracks. This is a developmental, learning-focused position designed to provide hands-on experience with project coordination and project execution. You will work closely with experienced project managers and gain exposure to all phases of a project, from kickoff through completion. As you build your knowledge, skills, judgment, and confidence, this role provides an opportunity to grow into a Project Manager position within the organization.
What You'll Be Doing Project Documentation:
Assist with managing the flow of technical submittals between our manufacturers and contractors to ensure timely review and approval.
Order Entry:
Enter project orders into our system with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Logistics & Tracking:
Monitor shipping dates, material status, and factory updates to help keep customers and team members informed.
Contractor Support:
Help serve as a point of contact for contractors by providing order status updates, delivery information, and other project-related information.
Internal Reporting:
Maintain project worksheets and tracking tools so the team has a clear view of project progress and outstanding items.
Project Coordination:
Support Project Managers with day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks while learning project management processes and best practices.
Professional Development:
Gain hands-on experience with project execution, customer communication, scheduling, problem-solving, and follow-up to prepare for future advancement into a Project Manager role.
