POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Project Manager plays a key support role in keeping construction projects organized, moving forward, and properly communicated between departments, vendors, field staff, and leadership. This position is ideal for someone early in their construction career who wants hands-on exposure to project management, estimating support, operations coordination, and construction administration. This role is highly collaborative and requires someone who is responsive, detail-oriented, energetic, and comfortable picking up the phone to solve problems quickly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Be Doing Track active projects and assist with project coordination Support Project Managers and department with daily operational needs Help maintain schedules, project documentation, and communication flow Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams Assist with estimating and bid support Request pricing, proposals, and material information from vendors/subcontractors Help identify and fill operational gaps to keep projects moving Follow up on outstanding items and maintain accountability across projects Assist with permits, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation Support project startup and closeout processes Maintain organized digital and physical project files Answer calls, communicate proactively, and help solve problems in real time What We're Looking For Degree, certification, or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred Strong organizational and communication skills High energy and willingness to take initiative Comfortable making calls and following up persistently Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and team mentality Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn construction software Prior construction experience is helpful but not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Standard office environment with occasional visits to job sites. Ability to sit for extended periods and use computer equipment.
