Job Description

STL Staffing is hiring a Project Manager for industrial equipment installation, overseeing custom equipment installs at customer sites across the U.S. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who enjoys travel, solving mechanical challenges, and leading installation teams from start to finish. Expect approximately 40% travel. What you'll do Lead onsite installation and commissioning of large industrial equipment and mechanical systems. Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and customer personnel to keep projects safe and on track. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and installation documents. Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve installation issues. Monitor project schedules and keep milestones on track. Serve as the primary customer contact during field installations. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions in the field. Promote and enforce safe work practices and maintain compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress internally. What we're looking for Required Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline. Previous experience in mechanical installation, industrial construction, field service, or equipment installation. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints. Experience leading crews or coordinating field installation projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time throughout the United States. Preferred Industrial equipment installation, OEM, or capital equipment project experience. Field service or mechanical project management background. Heavy manufacturing or industrial construction experience. Commissioning and startup support experience. Experience working alongside union labor. Pay and benefits $70,000-$115,000 a year. 401(k). Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Paid time off. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
