Job Description
Position Overview At JA Eisch LLC, we don't just build commercial cabinetry—we build schools, hospitals, clinics, offices, and spaces that people use every day. We are looking for an organized, driven Assistant Project Manager who wants to grow into a Project Manager while learning every aspect of commercial casework from award through installation. This is not a desk job where you'll simply push paperwork. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, coordinate with drafting, engineering, production, and installers, visit jobsites, help solve problems, and become a critical part of delivering successful projects. If you enjoy organization, communication, construction, and continuous learning, we'd like to talk with you. What You'll Do You'll help manage commercial millwork projects from the time they are awarded until final completion by:
- Assisting with project startup and documentation
- Coordinating project schedules
- Working with drafting and engineering teams
- Reviewing shop drawing submittals
- Tracking project milestones
- Coordinating field dimensions and laser measurements
- Communicating with customers, contractors, and internal departments
- Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day project execution
- Helping identify potential problems before they become costly issues As your experience grows, you'll take ownership of more projects while developing into a Project Manager. What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days you will learn to:
- Set up new commercial projects
- Manage project documentation
- Coordinate drafting schedules
- Review shop drawing markups
- Track project timelines
- Assist with field measuring
- Communicate professionally with customers and contractors
- Independently manage assigned APM responsibilities while supporting Project Managers.
Qualifications Preferred:
- 2+ years in commercial construction, millwork, cabinetry, or project coordination
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Comfortable learning new software
- Experience reading construction drawings is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

- Commercial casework
- Construction management
- CAD or drafting exposure
- ERP software experience
