Job Description

Position PurposeThe Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates mechanical contracting projects to ensure all goals are achieved within established schedules and budgets. This role is responsible for project execution from initial planning through final closeout.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and ExecutionReview project proposals and plans to determine scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and resource needs.
Develop detailed work plans for each project phase and assign personnel accordingly.
Direct and coordinate project activities to maintain schedule, quality, and cost control.
Prepare and review project status reports and adjust plans as needed.
Maintain complete project documentation including O and M manuals, delivery schedules, labor tracking, and closeout materials.
Financial and Contract ManagementManage project budgets and support cash flow through timely billing and customer follow-up.
Oversee contract administration including RFIs, change orders, and warranty back charges.
Develop and process estimates for key accounts and deliver proposals to assigned customers.
Customer and Stakeholder CoordinationServe as the primary contact for multiple assigned customers.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Coordinate with subcontractors, shop fabrication teams, field personnel, engineers, and estimators.
Provide technical guidance to resolve mechanical, operational, or design challenges.
Field and Shop SupportSupport field and shop personnel by answering mechanical and operational questions.
Coordinate manpower, equipment scheduling, and shop fabrication needs.
Attend job meetings, expedite equipment, and monitor job progress.
Oversee equipment start-up, punch lists, and project completion activities.
Safety and ComplianceFollow all ISO procedures as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.
Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write proposals and professional correspondence.
Excellent customer relationship skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot.
Exceptional organizational and pre-planning abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change orders.
General knowledge of the construction industry; estimating and field experience preferred.
Physical ability to access job sites, including climbing when required.
Understanding of collection systems and familiarity with current fabrication techniques.
