A Project Manager manages work on projects with a defined scope, start and completion point. Leads project teams, manages project budgets and schedules; manages contractors and communications with stakeholders. May manage projects in construction, information technology or in other industries.
- We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Project Manager to lead a multi-phase project from initiation through closeout. This role involves overseeing all phases of construction, managing subcontractors, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning Define project scope, deliverables, and specifications. Prepare construction estimates. Manage budgets. Scheduling & Logistics Develop detailed construction schedules with milestones. Coordinate the movement of resources, materials, and heavy equipment. Contract Management Prepare bids. Negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors. Manage change orders. Compliance & Permitting Secure and issue required permits. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national building codes as well as environmental regulations, including 29 CFR 1926 OSHA standards. Safety & Quality Control Enforce safety procedures. Conduct safety inspections. Maintain OSHA standards across contractors. Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs. Stakeholder Communication Lead project meetings. Provide regular progress updates to clients and stakeholders. Education Qualification Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Required Skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Experience in coordinating daily construction work between contractors, clients, landlords, and city officials. Proficiency in issuing work permits, including hot work, surface penetration, and working from heights. Familiarity with 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations. Strong communication skills, along with financial analysis and time-management capabilities. Proficiency in construction management software.
