Role Overview:

The Project Controls & Execution Manager is responsible for integrating fabrication, procurement, project controls, and field construction activities to ensure successful project execution. This position serves as a key link between Spirit's fabrication facility, project management teams, superintendents, procurement personnel, and clients. The successful candidate will help drive project schedules from engineering through fabrication, delivery, installation, startup, and turnover while maintaining alignment between shop production priorities and site construction needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Coordinate fabrication shop production schedules with site installation schedules.
• Monitor procurement, fabrication, delivery, and construction progress.
• Maintain quantity tracking and installation progress reporting.
• Identify schedule risks and develop recovery plans.
• Assist with material planning and procurement coordination.
• Participate in project planning, execution, and client meetings.
• Support Superintendents and Project Managers with sequencing and resource planning.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, fabrication, vendors, and field operations.
• Provide schedule analysis and reporting to company leadership.

Qualifications Required:

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience.
• Strong understanding of field construction means and methods.
• Experience coordinating concrete, structural steel, mechanical equipment, process piping, and electrical/instrumentation work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.

Preferred:

• Previous Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Fabrication Manager, or Construction Manager experience.
• Experience in pulp, paper, tissue, converting, or manufacturing facilities.
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree.
• PMP certification or equivalent credentials.
• Experience managing fabrication-to-installation workflows.
