Job Description
Our Client is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a rich resume of project success all throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We are looking for a Water Resources Engineer to work in a Project Manager capacity in our Charleston, WV office location. Our Engineers have the opportunity to design projects in cities and municipalities where our designs make an impact. In this role, you will be asked to;
- Evaluate existing service area utility assets and develop corresponding recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement
- Provide support in the design of the rehabilitation and/or replacement of water lines and sanitary sewer lines
- Monitor performance and adherence to plans and specifications during the construction phase. Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders.
- Coordinate and assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternative analyses, and other technical deliverables
- Identify future projects/opportunities, services, and client needs.
- Ensure project communication between team members and clients.
- Make formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, the public and regulatory agencies.
- Attend networking events, trade shows and technical conferences for business development purposes.
- Build client relationships through project delivery.
- Incorporate engineering considerations into water and wastewater system designs, including pump selection, valve sizing, and mechanical equipment layout.
- Support troubleshooting and performance evaluation of mechanical systems during construction and commissioning phases. Qualifications may include;
- BS in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer Certification, or the ability to obtain, is highly desired.
- Minimum of five years of experience.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Possess excellent leadership skills
- Possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Periodic travel will be required.
