Duration:

6-12 Month Contract We are seeking an experienced Automotive Assembly Line Project Engineer to support a major manufacturing project in West Virginia. This role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, installation, startup, and commissioning of an automotive assembly line. Candidates must have a strong background in automotive manufacturing and hands-on experience leading assembly line implementation projects. This is a fully onsite position. Candidates seeking hybrid or remote work arrangements will not be considered. Contract Job Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the procurement, installation, and setup of automotive assembly line equipment. Manage project activities to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and contractors throughout project execution. Oversee equipment commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities. Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards. Contract Job Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred; Associate's Degree will be considered with relevant experience. Minimum of 4 + years of experience in the automotive industry . 2+ years of recent experience overseeing the procurement, installation, and setup of an automotive assembly line. Experience managing manufacturing equipment installation and startup projects. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with powertrain assembly lines is highly preferred, but not required. Experience working in high-volume automotive manufacturing environments. Additional Requirements Must be willing to work 100% onsite in West Virginia . Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen and background check . Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
