Eielson AFB, AK Pay:
$29.30-$37.56/hr, depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30
PM On-Call:
24/7 on-call availability required Mileage reimbursement provided for work-related travel Take the lead on residential maintenance operations while staying actively involved in the field. This hands-on supervisory role oversees a team of maintenance technicians responsible for maintaining residential homes, community facilities, and shared spaces at Eielson Air Force Base. The position is primarily field-based and combines technical maintenance expertise with day-to-day team leadership and administrative responsibilities. The right candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting repairs, directing and supporting technicians, communicating with residents, managing work orders and schedules, approving timecards, and using computer and mobile systems to keep daily operations moving. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support a team of residential maintenance technicians. Diagnose, perform, and oversee maintenance and repair work throughout residential homes and community facilities. Perform and guide maintenance work including structural repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC/steam systems, pressure washing, cleaning, electrical work, and other assigned maintenance duties. Coordinate work orders, technician schedules, and daily maintenance priorities. Review and approve employee timekeeping documentation. Train and support technicians in maintenance procedures and repair work. Use computer and mobile systems for work orders, scheduling, documentation, email, reporting, and daily communication. Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and other personnel regarding maintenance needs and completed work. Support maintenance of community areas and amenities including playgrounds, recreational areas, community spaces, and other property assets. Respond to after-hours and emergency maintenance needs as required. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience may be considered. Valid, unrestricted REAL ID-compliant driver's license, current vehicle registration, and insurance required; personal vehicle required for work-related transportation. Ability to meet requirements for access to Eielson Air Force Base. 3+ years of residential maintenance experience within multifamily housing, residential property maintenance, hospitality, or a similar environment. Previous supervisory experience in residential or multifamily property maintenance. 2+ years of customer-facing experience. Hands-on residential maintenance experience across multiple skilled trades, including structural repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC/steam systems, pressure washing, cleaning, and electrical work. Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, email, timekeeping systems, and mobile work-order applications; personal smartphone required for work-related communication. Ability to perform physically demanding maintenance work, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Background screening is a part of the hiring process. Support a drug free work environment.
