Position Title:

Floor Supervisor -Residential Treatment Center (RTC)

Shift :

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with on-call responsibilities.

Full Time Job Summary:

The RTC Floor Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of assigned shift, unit, and/or cottage. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including conducting performance appraisals. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work of employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. The position will directly supervise Lead MHT Staff and Mental Health Technician staff at the RTC.

Qualifications :

Must be currently in the state of AK -Local area, any out of state candidates will not be accepted. 21 years of age. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be able to provide a 3-5 year driving record with a clear driving history. H.S. Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in psychology, social work, justice, guidance and counseling, sociology, education, nursing, or other human service field preferred. Equivalent work and/or educational experience may be substituted on a year-by-year basis. When substituting educational experience 30 college credits will be considered equal to one year of substitute experience in a human service field or related field from an accredited institution or the documented equivalent of full-time experience working with youth in the human service field. At least 1 year working in the mental health or behavioral health field required. At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role required. Physical ability to employ Verbal and Physical aggression control techniques after being certified. (Ability to Physically Restrain adolescent clients). This may require you to lift 40 lbs, bend your knees, extend arms and shoulders and other physical movements necessary to safely restrain a client. Must be able to fulfill the physical aspects of the position, including but not limited to the ability to physically restrain clients as needed and lifting up to 40lbs. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends. Must have basic computer and typing skills. Duties & Responsibilities Knowledge of State of Alaska, Residential Child Care Facilities regulations. Freedom from criminal convictions that may adversely affect the employee's ability to work safely with children, contingent on a fingerprint & background records check conducted by the State of Alaska Division of Health Care Services Background Check Unit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensures programmatic and administrative compliance with

FCSA, RTC

policy and procedure, accrediting and or licensing agencies (including mandatory reporting). Provide supervision to assigned employees (per FCSA Policy). Meet peers and clinical staff on regular basis to ensure effective communication. Completes and ensures documentation, including payroll, and Human Resources (to include performance evaluations), are completed in accordance with

FCSA/RTC

policy and procedure Maintain a daily presence on the floor/unit to build relationships with staff and clients. Remains current on census, and what is occurring on the unit. Consistently makes independent decisions regarding programmatic operations to ensure issues are addressed in real time, and before escalating. Identifies areas for improvement, develops a plan of action and follows through to completion. Responsible for the development and accuracy of an RTC Master Calendar that is planned 90 days in advance. Ensures staff prepared for scheduled activities, and calendaring conflicts are limited. Effectively sets performance expectations, delegates work and ensure issues are addressed and followed through to completion. Ensures that programmatic or staffing issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Maintains a positive, professional demeanor at all times. Facilitate behavior modification, individual/group/multi-family/in-home therapies in accordance with Behavior Management Plans and Treatment Plans and complete required documentation. Completes on-call rotations as needed/assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Full Benefits Package for

$61,734.00 - $65,494.00 per year
