This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities /
Duties:
Support the ATE Government Furnished Property Manager with the coordination, management, accountability, issuance, and procurement of acquisition-related property. Support management of Government Furnished Property and Government Furnished Equipment located at contractor facilities, including inventories, periodic reviews, contractor reporting, disposition actions, and disposal of excess property. Review and update contract requirement packages and supporting documentation associated with Government property requirements. Maintain and assist with accountable property records to ensure the status, location, and condition of assets remain accurate through final disposition. Coordinate with Government, contractor, and Defense Contract Management Agency personnel to support property accountability and compliance requirements. Support management of externally held assets within applicable Government property accountability systems. Perform market research, obtain quotes, and assist with procurement-related activities. Prepare and support equipment turn-ins and transfers, including required property transfer documentation. Provide backup support for ATE installation property management activities as required.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree. 3 to 10 years of relevant work experience in logistics, Government property management, supply, or a related field. Working knowledge of Government Furnished Property and Government Furnished Equipment management requirements and processes. Knowledge of Army property regulations and property accountability requirements. Experience maintaining, reviewing, or reconciling accountable property records. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across Government and contractor organizations. Must be a U.S. citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System (PCARSS). Experience supporting Government property located at contractor facilities. Familiarity with Government property-related contract documentation, equipment transfers, turn-ins, and disposition processes. Prior experience supporting an Army or DoD Program Management Office.
