Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our vibrant property management team. Responsibilities Assist in managing lease or rental agreement processes, including renewals, terminations, and new tenant onboarding. Support property maintenance coordination by liaising with vendors, tracking work orders, and ensuring timely repairs. Maintain accurate records using property management tools such as Yardi or OneSite, including data entry, filing, and reporting. Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in person to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Contribute to budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and assisting with financial documentation related to property operations. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 programs. Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and fostering positive relationships within the community. Assist in lease administration and rent collection processes while maintaining detailed records of payments and contractual obligations. Collaborate with team members on property leasing initiatives and upselling opportunities to maximize occupancy rates. Participate in facilities management tasks such as property inspections, safety audits, and supporting property maintenance teams. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles; familiarity with property management company operations is preferred. Strong knowledge of property management software including Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Demonstrated understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, and Section 8 housing programs. Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities. Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills to handle tenant issues diplomatically. Experience with lease or rental agreement management, contracts administration, and budgeting processes. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and filing tasks. Office experience combined with strong organizational skills; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus. Exceptional communication skills for team collaboration and client interaction; experience in sales or upselling is advantageous.
