Preferred Residential Homes | Youth Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) Tolleson, Arizona Preferred Residential Homes is excited to announce an opening for a dynamic, dependable, and dedicated House Manager to join our " youth" Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF). This vital leadership position oversees the day-to-day operations of the residential home , helping ensure a safe, structured, compassionate, and well-managed environment for both residents and staff. The House Manager will lead and support our direct-care team while promoting a trauma-informed, youth-centered environment focused on safety, stability, skill development, and positive outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced behavioral health professional who wants to take on a meaningful leadership role and grow with a developing residential program.

Employment:
Full-Time Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the residential facility and help ensure a safe, structured, therapeutic environment. Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs). Coordinate staff schedules and assist with maintaining appropriate staffing coverage. Promote consistent implementation of residents' individualized treatment, behavioral, and safety plans as directed by the clinical treatment team. Monitor staff documentation to promote accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with facility policies and procedures. Assist with resident admissions, discharges, appointments, transportation, activities, and daily residential needs. Support staff in utilizing trauma-informed approaches, therapeutic communication, positive behavioral interventions, crisis prevention, and de-escalation techniques. Assist with staff orientation, training, competency monitoring, and performance improvement. Ensure facility operations remain consistent with applicable Arizona BHRF requirements, organizational policies, and safety standards . Monitor the physical environment of the home and promptly address safety, maintenance, supply, or operational concerns. Participate in incident reporting, follow-up, quality improvement, and emergency response as appropriate. Communicate professionally with residents, families/guardians, clinical leadership, placing agencies, DCS representatives, schools, healthcare providers, and other authorized members of the treatment team. Promote professional boundaries, confidentiality, accountability, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture. Provide hands-on residential support when needed and model professionalism for direct-care staff. Qualifications Previous experience in behavioral health, a BHRF, youth group home, residential treatment program, crisis setting, DCS-related program, or similar behavioral health environment strongly preferred. Previous supervisory, Lead BHT, House Manager, Program Coordinator, or comparable leadership experience preferred. Experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused during behavioral or crisis situations. Ability to supervise and support staff while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Must meet applicable Arizona BHRF personnel and qualification requirements for the position. Must be able to obtain and maintain required Fingerprint Clearance, CPR/First Aid, and facility-required training and competencies . Education in behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, healthcare, or a related field is preferred. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete required electronic and written documentation. Why Join Preferred Residential Homes? Compensation:
$22-$24/hour DOE , based on relevant behavioral health experience, youth residential experience, leadership background, education, and qualifications.
